Winter in Malibu

I’m from Oregon, but I live in Malibu, California. This is what January looks like here. It’s very confusing…even the butterflies think it’s Spring!

These little guys are bright and shiny and pretty and really hard to get close to. They prefer to be way up high in the eucalyptus trees.

Look who came out to play with me today! Getting nectar from a Nectarine tree…

One clearly looks old and faded and the other looks young and fresh. I wonder if it is a parent and a child? I’d like to think so…

I was feeling a little crafty today!

They are so pretty they don’t even look real.

This ol’ guy has definitely seen better days.
